About Us

Kansas City Christian School is a Christ-centered community of unified focus – to create a learning environment where faith is exercised to maturity, where students rigorously pursue knowledge, and where Godly character is honored. In today’s culture, it is unquestionably essential to prepare students academically. It also is critically important to provide students with a venue to mature in faith and character.   At KCC, we do precisely that -- we pursue Faith, Knowledge and Character.
The links to the right are designed to let you learn more about the KCC community, and how we accomplish these essential goals in ways that can benefit your student.

History

KCC opened its doors on July 5, 1951 by purchasing a school building at 4645 Booth in Kansas City, Kansas. Over years of rapid growth in enrollment, KCC transitioned through a series of facilities until acquiring its current home in Prairie Village.   KCC’s growth continues through today. In 2008, KCC acquired a facility and approximately 10 acres of property in south Johnson County, which currently serves students in preschool through second grade and is expanding every year.
In 2011, KCC is celebrating its 60th year! Throughout those years, KCC has been consistently providing non-denominational Christian education for countless families that currently represent over 90 area churches. From its meager roots in Kansas City, Kansas, KCC has grown to a multi-campus ministry, which educates and trains, on average, over 500 students a year.
