School spirit is often the first thing the community notices about our school. Coaches work hard to inspire teamwork and Christ-like attitudes on the field, and every program stives for the overall goal of character building through good fitness and healthy competition. We are blessed with a fantastic athletic program featuring soccer, basketball, cheerleading, baseball, cross country, tennis, golf, track, volleyball and bowling. Sports at the competitive level begin in fifth grade. KCC is a member of the Kansas State High School Activities Association.
Our teams are ranked highly among public and private schools in the region and many have placed in state tournaments. The cross country team earned Kansas State Championship titles in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2006. The varsity boys' soccer team clinched the State Championship in 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2008. The mens tennis team earned Kansas State Championship titles in 2004 and 2006. These are just some of the honors and awards our athletes have earned in the last decade.
