Meeting a Greater Need in South Johnson County
Since 1951, Kansas City Christian School (KCCS) has been striving to meet the educational needs of the Kansas City community. In the fall of 2008, the fully accredited school expanded to serve the growing population of southern Johnson County at 133rd and Nall at the former Oxford Park Academy.
Oxford Park Campus offers an academic experience that motivates children to become life-long learners, critical thinkers and lovers of God. Preschool (ages 2.5 and up), Kindergarten, and First Grade currently meet at the facility with Second Grade being added Fall 2010. Additional Grades will be added each year.
Second Grade Update
We are proud to announce that Mrs. Michele Friesen is the second grade teacher for the 2010-2011 school year.
Enrollment Requirements
Kindergarten: Students must be five years old by September 1 to enroll at KCCS. Readiness tests are administered for each student.
First and Second Grade: First graders must be six years old by September 1. For other requirements please see the admission policies on the Admissions tab.

Academics
Preschool offers flexible scheduling to accomodate families, schedules and/or the child's needs. Along with Music and Art activities, Spanish introduction classes are offered once a week.
Various Elementary Curriculi are used to meet or exceed all Kansas standards while integrating a Biblical worldview. Weekly chapel and daily Bible lessons underscore our commitment to assist children to grow spiritually. The small class sizes endow students with specific attention, direct accountability and individualized assessment. The Student-Teacher ratio is 1:10.

Enrichment Programs
Enrichment programs allow students to develop their individual talents. Parents enroll their students in these programs at additional charge.
The programs offered in the afternoon are:
Ballet
Private Music Lessons (Keyboard, Strings and Vocal)
Happy Feet Soccer Classes
Parent-Coached Upward Sports

Catered Lunch Program
School lunches are catered by HyVee every day or children can bring thier lunch from home.
