WHAT CAN YOU GIVE?
Cash: Depending on your tax bracket, if you itemize your tax deductions, cash gifts can be deducted in amounts of up to 50% of your adjusted gross income each year.
Securities: Individual stocks, bonds, or mutual funds that have increased in value provide additional tax savings to you when given to KCC. If you have held the security for more than one year, you can deduct the fair market value of your gift for federal income tax purposes, while usually avoiding capital gains taxes. The current capital gains deductible limit is 30% of adjusted gross income on qualified assets.

Securities: You can mail or hand deliver properly endorsed securities to the Development Office at the school. The easier and more common way to donate securities is by electronic transfer. Using this method, your securities will be deemed effectively transferred when they are electronically received in our brokerage account. If you wish to make such a transfer, please call Bill Glotzbach, at 913-648-5227, or e-mail bglotzbach@mykccs.org so that you can be provided with simple instructions.
